Skiing
Mădăraș is the longest and youngest volcanic mountain range in the center of the eastern group of the Carpathians, and its highest peak is found in the area called Mădăraș, with an altitude of 1801 meters. This is currently the most popular ski resort in Transylvania. You can buy ski passes, rent ski equipment and benefit from group skiing lessons at Pensiunea Súgó. The ski resort is covered with snow between mid-December and early April.

Harghita-Băi
Harghita – Bai is located at a distance of 42 km from Odorheiu Secuiesc. At altitudes between 1,300 and 1,400 meters, there are ski slopes equipped with ski lifts, including a 200-meter and a 400-meter floodlit track.
The ski resort, considered snow-sure, is suitable for skiing between December and March. An off-ski option is the 150-metre snowtubing track, which is equipped with its own lift.

SkiVarság - The First Ski Lift in Transylvania
A dream came true on January 16, 2021, when the first slope with a chairlift in Transylvania was inaugurated, in the heart of Vârșag. SkiVârșag is located in the Gurghiu Mountains, only 35 kilometers from Odorheiu Secuiesc. The slope, with a length of about 900 meters and a medium degree of difficulty, is located in the specific landscape of the mountains, where fir, beech and massive oaks give the area a special charm.

Băile Homorod
Baile Homorod is 18 km away from Odorheiu Secuiesc. Near the Lobogó guesthouse there is a ski slope equipped with a hammer lift, equipped with snow cannons and maintained with snow removal equipment.
The slope has the blue classification, recommended for beginners and families, but also for anyone who wants to enjoy the snow-covered fir forests, the silence of winter or choose skiing as an active form of rest.
Dining options are available at the Lobogó guesthouse.
There is also a rental facility where guests can rent ski equipment and sleds alike.
Distance from Küküllő Hotel: 18 km, 29 minutes.
