The Carpathian Bend - the Háromszék Hills

The Háromszék Hills, of which the Berecki/Brețcu Hills are a part, are surprisingly wide and gently sloping peaks, with their extensive forests, seemingly isolated from the world, where only wild animals roam.

The Lakóca/Vârful Lacauți peak, at 1777 metres, is the highest peak in the mountains of Covasna County.
There is also a meteorological station here, where the chief is called Uncle Bujor (pronounced Buzsor), who has a lot to tell and advise the visitors, but has to interrupt him every hour to report the results of his measurements to the regional centre.
